Ft Churchill Cooling Ponds

Didn't hear about a hatch this weekend. Gave a try down at Hinkson Slough near Yerington though. They were hitting nicely. 10-12" rainbows until about 10am ... then it all stopped dead. But it was...

Nah. Winter hasn't been that bad at all. I'm more concerned with having any water in the streams by early summer. Drought is more of a hardship here than winter ice and snow.

Well jeez ... I've only fished two of those on the list. So I chose Green River as a default. Fish didn't bite much those couple of days, but the landscape was phenomenal.

Pyramid has been tremendous all spring. Its the darn wind that plays havoc with me up there. This weekend I'm heading up to Spooner ... hopefully it warms up a bit.
