Re: Fly Tying Magazine

I get tempted every time I get the subscription offer. Then I remember that there's this forum and youtube and vimeo. $20 will buy a goodly amount of fly-tying materials (unless you're going for a...

I've searched the forum, and can't find what I'm looking for.

I don't imagine any of YOU have ever had the problem of brassie (or any other size) wire getting all tangled on its spool, but...

Re: Adams, PARACHUTE Adams and PARACHUTE BWO

Wow! I didn't expect to spark such an educational interchange. Fabulous contributions, advice and counsel.

I have even MORE to think about . . . but I'll probably be giving the...

Re: Adams, PARACHUTE Adams and PARACHUTE BWO

Thanks, folks! Very helpful!

I'll probably, now, leave the Adams behind (I've tied enough to understand it a bit), and turn my attention to the Parachutes!

I had thought that the "parachute"...

Adams, PARACHUTE Adams and PARACHUTE BWO

All,

I'm confused, and I know you can help out!

Working through Cravens' book, I've been working on the Adams. I talk to friends here in CO, and most of them don't bother too much...

Thanks . . . both for the update, and, again, for putting the day together! We'll do better next time!

Re: Colorado (front range) meet and fish day?

Checking in with those who stayed later (after leaving below GM): Where'd you head, and how'd you do?

And, given the news reports about I-70, it was a good thing we got out of Denver as early as...

Re: Colorado (front range) meet and fish day?

Re: carpooling.

We might want to deal with those logistics at TRex. It may be that some of us will want to stay longer/shorter than others.

Re: Colorado (front range) meet and fish day?

I have no real opinion about where to go, other than the less crowded, the better. I've not fished the Ark (to any real extent) or the Blue in the area suggested.

Re: The computer in front of you.

I'm closing in on 59, and I have used an 'electric shaver twice in my life. Don't see the point.

Just sayin' [emoji12]

Thanks, gents! I'd forgotten that I'd seen the suggestion about the peacock herl body! And the suggestions about the other larger bugs is great!

Re: One day to fish out of Denver...advice

Boulder Creek is HOT right now. Head up Hwy 119 from Boulder towards Nederland. Anything from Mile Marker 30 west is great. The fish may not be huge, but the action is good.

Re: Colorado (front range) meet and fish day?

Aug 16/17 would probably work for me. Of course the problem with the weekends is that, within an hour-and-a-half of Denver, we'll have more folks than this forum on the water with us regardless of...

I was just in RMNP last weekend, and stopped at Kirks for some advice on lake fishing. One of the guys suggested Lake Haiyaha. So I changed my plans and hiked up there. He neglected to tell me...
