Re: foam popper

It's actually pretty easy fly to make. Just cut have a circle out of foam sheet, roll it into the cone and use some superglue. Don't forget to leave a little tip at the front so you can tie it to the...

Re: foam popper

the thing is I didn't try casting it yet, but that's what I'm afraid of. It's pretty light but I don't know how air resistant this big boy is. This is my first foam popper so maybe I'll have to do...

foam popper

I used foam to make this popper. It's very light too, so you can cast it easier. I just need to work on my paint job:icon_lol:

Have anybody heard of a slinky rig and how does it work? I heard it works great for steelhead fishing.

Re: woolly bugger with a prop

I don't think it's cheating. If that's cheating then using anything other than feathers and fur - like crystal flash, wire, beads, rubber tails, lead eyes, etc. is cheating.

woolly bugger with a prop

these are killers for small mouth in streams. Olive colors work great. I didn't have a chance to try it for trout yet, but I think they would do pretty good....

Re: could be a good bass/pike fly

Now this looks more like a good size pike fly. I can't wait to test it out. I got that spot on the river where I hooked 35"+ pike on my 5weight and 4x tippet while fishing for smallies. It took me...

Re: could be a good bass/pike fly

thanks for some tips. I think it's a good idea to add some weight to it and add another hook to extend tail. I think that second hook will give more weight and action in the water. I am gonna modify...

could be a good bass/pike fly

I've just tied this one. I guess I could make a longer tail for pike and add a little more weight to it.http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo141/kerryssz/Picture23.jpg
