Larry, I now have a barn full of parts and only lacking the motor, transmission and front/rear ends. Fortunately, the decision was made to hold off on the big ticket purchases and rathole some cash...

Many of the small town rags are still a great read like the Ravalli and Seeley Swan Pathfinder (mails the newspaper to me) as their audience is limited and they have to keep if honest to stay alive....

One trick I have learned is many podunk towns (typically the ones with definite speed traps) are only interested in the money and rarely file the paper work for a warrant if you don't pay the fine....

Sometimes out of state hunting and license fees are high so we add a little to offset our costs there and often times its as simple as having a bad experience with the local law enforcement.

I was on the GTS two years ago on July 4th and it wasn't that crowded except as mentioned at Logans Pass. My first trip there was in Sept 1982 to backpack from East to West Glacier and after two days...
