Re: Need Advice Planning a Trip to SW Montana

Hi there, welcome to The Forum. My advice to shoot for the latter half of your time frame. There is a good chance for high water in mid-June and you really can't go wrong with middle of July. Unless...

Re: What is the worst fly fishing commercial or movie scene?

The River Why? was just so bad and such a *******ization of the novel that I didn't even notice if the actor could fish or not. I hope Duncan was paid fairly, I'm sure he would not approve of the...

Re: Drying motor

I did not read thoroughly all of the replies so forgive me if I am redundant...

You do not need a motor, but you will need time if you are not using one. I'm not sure how long Spar takes to firm...

Re: Cleaning a soiled cork grip.

Four pages on how to clean cork grips?

It's only December. I am worried for when the holidays are over and that distraction is gone and we are all truly holed-up...

Re: Cleaning a soiled cork grip.

Cleaning a cork grip (on one of my own rods) falls under the bad juju that I don't do want. Like washing your favorite, sweat-stained disgusting ball cap, or fishing vest...I don't do it. There are,...

Dropped my flies in the mail yesterday Larry along with quite a few flies for CFR...a lot actually. I hope you don't have to spend too much time culling, they are all unused as far as I could tell...

Re: Who sells Echo fly rod blanks?

I called Echo a year ago asking about blanks...at that time they didn't sell them. I had the feeling that you might be able to talk someone into it, but I doubt it.

William, I can't wait to see what you choose and then do with it. I do love those Epics that Pete has made, but then who wouldn't?

Re: Grizz chase caught on Go Pro

The bear would have died, no doubt. Like you said one arrow in the gut and another scraping a lung or other vital organ, but you know he wouldn't have died before killing the hunter first.

Re: Grizz chase caught on Go Pro

I appreciate hunting and fare...

Re: What have you been tying today?
