Not sure about the newer sage hardware but do you remember when Winston came out with the BiiX rods? how light they were? the knock on them was the cheap looking black reel seat hardware with green...

Nothing wrong with what you are saying. However the Redington 386-4 CT fly rod is very good MHO and many will testify to it also. Cabelas has them at 89.95 reg 149.99. Nice smooth moderate action...
