Re: Kentuckiana Fly Fishing Show Febuary 11th 2012

I'm in Madison just up the river. I might try and get down there next Sunday. Though a mid week excursion does sound nice. I'll make sure and message you if I'm headed there. Enjoy the show.

Re: Kentuckiana Fly Fishing Show Febuary 11th 2012

Of all weekends I can't make it because of drill. I would like to go to OC and fish sometime. It'd be great to have a mentor, I've never fished for trout. Is anyone going next weekend?

Re: Fly fishing streams

No problem. I grew up diagonally from the Lanier Mansion down by the river if you're familiar. There's a few houses that are popping up for sale downtown, I'd recommend anything west of Broadway from...

Re: Time for a new laptop.

I had pc computers all my life and bought a macbook for college. I was really against Macs, I think it was the stigma associated with it, thought I would be hanging out at coffee shops and not eating...

Re: Planning a trip - Battenkill River - Vermont

Lake Shaftsbury State Park is a great place to camp and is really close to the battenkill just south of Manchester. I went there in October and we did some off season camping. The campsites have 3...

I've worn and been responsible for all the life saving equipment at my USCG unit. We use an inflatable system that is manually deployable rather than automatic. We also used a harness and tether...

Re: Found a new stream!

Sounds good John, I'm leaving Boston on Saturday so I'll be in the area by next week. I'm definitely inexperienced with trout, as in never fished for them, but I'd like to get the Honda out and at...

Are the impacts of commercial fishing going to have any effects on native species like it does on all other fisheries. As far as eating them, there was a time not too long ago when Lobsters were...
