Catch a fish every month of the year with a fly rod.
So far I have done it every month through April.

To add a second goal catch a steelhead on a fly...

I live in South East Idaho so we have some great waters nearby.

I use more thorax type flies because they are easier for me to tie. They sit low on the water like the parachute flies but are faster for me to tie.

I bought both the Greys xf2 and the g loomis pro 4x. Sent the loomis back and kept the xf2. The xf2 just feels better to me.

I would get a duck or goose and use the CDC feathers for dry flies if good dry fly hackle is not available.
