I used the Petzel tikka for years, but now my headlight of choice is the Black Diamond spot. Three levels of diffused light or three settings of a powerful 1 watt LED. It's only a few grams heavier...

I am glad this thread came up when it did, because my rod got stuck too. So I did the knee thing- no luck, Iced it down and did the knee thing- still no luck, so I ran it under hot water for a minute...

Eric- that is exactly what I was trying to say. To not fish is to lose a connection that is innate, however easily forgotten in todays modern world.
