thanks for posting why the blood knot is better. saved me some typing:)

line to leader i like the loops connection, but leader to tippet. i like my 100% blood knots. :)

Its hard to determin since every place is differnt. ive trolled a dry mosquito and waterbeetle outa my boat out of the insect season and caught more fish and larger than anyone else on the lake. look...

i like the powerflex also, but the fluroflex... i would stay away from, i have had nothing but bad breaks, and the knots seem to snap alot.

well, how weird has it gotten for you on a lake?... we were trolling at a good clip with a dry mosquito and destroyed every other fisherman out there with quantity and size. some days are strange....

you may be whipping it. i noticed when i let a new guy use my rod he whipped it and the loop to loop was pulled tight enough to mangle the line loop

anywere near the quesnell bridge, the pool is on the north side. i wouldnt keep anything from the river though. mercury levels are really high.

what would you guys use for northern pike on a fly?

it would be put back.

the top gun fish fought long and hard to get to be the biggest, probly longer and harder then i have fished. In my eyes it deserves to be let loose. its the king not me.
