Re: Western guys, I need some quick Brookie rod advice.

I would lean towards the 4 wt for me but someone who is just learning might find the heavier 5wt a little more forgiving and more versatile. He might grow out of it but I think the 9' 5wt truly is...

Yeah if you like the lighter ones i say definitely go for it.

I should also mention not to worry about extra wool or tubing for a while. I've fished using it exclusively for about 6 months now...

Re: New Zealand Strike Indicator (tool)

Hi, comeonavs! I use and love this system. It works great for me. You need a few extra false casts every now and then and it will take a couple tries to get the amount of wool correct. This is the...

Re: Rod Suggestions ultimate trout rod

I know it's not on the list but I'm gonna bring it up. I love my loop Evotec 590-M. I have nicer slow action rods, and bigger rods to huck streamers and weights, but I fish it a ton because it is...

Re: How to choose a fly reel and line for small trout streams?

Redington drift fly reel is a decent reel for a hundred bucks and matches the CT nicely. Only click pawl drag but I think that's fine for a 3 wt.

Re: question for prescrition glasses wearers

Hi there. It took about three different optometrists before someone got mine right. So I would always recommend at least doing a second if the option is available. Also, there are muscles in your eye...

Re: How do you carry.......?

I know this is a little bit off from what you were looking for but have you got a chance to play with the Kahr arms guns? they do a single stack and are thin for packing/concealed. Less than an inch...

Re: New to fly fishing in No. NV....+ intro

Hi, fellow Nevadan here. For cheaper waders I am a pretty big fan of my redington's. I think they are the palix? And roughly 150 bucks I think. The boots, I would just go try them on and see what you...
