I have fished the area 2 times in the last 3 years. Between both trips we encountered 3 fisherman on 1 day. One of the trips we encountered none. I typically plan my trips after peak season.

Spent 5 nights 4 days fishing the South Fork of the Flathead river. Caught to many fish to count, to bad there is not much greenery left along the river. There was 3 fires burning in unburned areas...

Made it to the Bighorn mountains and Upper Clarks Fork for some great fishing. Upper Clarks Fork is a beautiful river and hard not to fish when passing by. The past couple of years I manage 20 fish...

This time of the year the pack trains are pretty much coming to an end. I have heard in the peak of summer the fishing/traffic pressure can be quite heavy.

Spent 10 days fishing Yellowstone National park, The main event was 3 days in the upper meadows of Slough Creek. The Yellowstone cutthroat are some great fish to catch!

One of the creeks is named properly, the other I just abbreviated, cant give it up that easy. As for Tenkara I have never even thought about it. I will check my privacy settings to see if that works....

I fished with a #18 Parachute Adams, in both locations. Most of the waters in this area are still off color also, what a brutal winter eh......The next couple of weeks things should start looking...
