i had read once that compartmentalized boxes should be used as opposed to foam ridged boxes. not sure if this is true, however.

sorry for putting you gents on the spot. the golf club analogy was the best. my quiver is not too full now...a 7 for steel, a 5 for panfish and my infrequent trout sojourn and an old orvis green mt...

opinions on a mod-fast vs. a fast action rod. also, can a fast action rod be slowed a bit by uplining one size?

one more...some manufacturers lines are really 1/2 size larger than stated. does...
