Fly fishing from in a sit-in kayak?

I spin casted/bait fished all the time from my sit-in kayak without any real issue. I started fly fishing this past summer and love it. I don't think I'm ever going back to spincasting or...

Inappropriate place to post this but I can't seem to post on the classifieds. I'm a member of The Clymb, a member outdoor site which sells hiking/climbing gear at drastically reduced...

Cabela's Traditional II Fly Rod or Cabela's Three Forks Fly Rod?

I'm a beginner fly fisherman and looking for a easy to cast rod, etc. I'm debating between the two for a 4WT rod. Will be mainly fishing for small trout and panfish in small-medium streams and...

Re: Is it OK to use 9WT line on a 7/8 reel w/ 7wt Rod?

Jeez, I should've just stuck with baitcasting - so much more simpler. I just had to choose between three different types of bait for my area and my only dilema was deciding to use a medium or heavy...

Re: Is it OK to use 9WT line on a 7/8 reel w/ 7wt Rod?

Aiming for small stripers in my area with the 9WT. Snapping rods makes sense. I'll look into getting a 9WT rod. I'll probably use the 9WT line on the 7/8 reel until I can afford a decent 8/9WT...

What do you wear underneath your waders? (Non insulated/neoprene type)

I'm new to fly fishing and I just bought my first waders. They're not insulated or the neoprene type as I plan to go into only warmer waters and won't be fishing when the temp drops below 60ish. I...

Is it OK to use 9WT line on a 7/8 reel w/ 7wt Rod?

I can't afford to buy so another reel or rod, etc.

Is it OK to use 9WT line on a 7/8 Reel?

Is it OK to use 7/8 reel on a 6/7 Rod?

Thanks!
