Re: Wading Staff Suggestion

So simms should have put a star cleat in the rubber foot? You're right about that slipping.

I just got some new simms wading boots. With what I know now compared to a few years back, I upsized two sizes on my new boots and can tell you my feet do stay warmer a lot longer.

Re: Comparing TFO Pro 4-pc to TFO Signature 2-pc?

I can tell you my 8'6" 4wt tfo feels different than my daughters 9' 4wt tfo. Same series rod. They're the 4 piece pro series. I like the feel of mine much better. The 9 is stiffer.

Re: Quality Vise ~$100?

Not a true rotary like the Anvil atlas but a good vice for the money. My first vice. Doesnt require different jaws for smaller hooks like some vices.

Re: Maintaining a journal

A journal is cool to look back on but I think eventually you'll get to where it doesnt matter. When you fish certain places all the time you know pretty much what to do to catch fish there.

It's nice to catch a big fish. Most Oklahoma trout are stockers but they're some wild ones down at the LMF river. I agree with what has been said and get more satisfaction catching West Virginias...
