In my experience, it seems like bluegill are like goats, they will eat anything. haha. But seriously, they will eat most flies that land on the water around here, especially mayflies.

I would say 4 or 6 bugger as well. And definitely with BigCliff on this one, at least size 7, I'm looking for an 8wt.
I use a 5wt. right now and it is not the best rod to use with those big flies!...
