Yes, I have much experience with Allen Flylines. I have 3 wt, 5 wt, 8 wt and they work really well. I will never pay that high price again. IMO it is senseless to pay 50,60 dollars when you can get...

gj, I am a Allen Rod user. I own (3). 3 wt, 5 wt and 7/8 wt.
I cant say enough good about them. I am still amazed at the quality for the 160 bucks. The 5 wt is my favorite as it is...

I believe it is maintenence free but if you soak it in water while fishing ( It happens to me once in a while) you might want to take it apart and dry it. Justin should really be answering this...

wd, I have quite a few Allen reels, Some you have to remove the spool as the bearing is in the spool. Remove the spool, turn the spool over, you may see a little clip ring pin, Take it (clip) out and...

I echo Rip Tides comment. I have one of the 20 dollar vises/tool kits and take it with me on ff trips and camping. It works just fine. It really comes in handy when it's raining and I'm semi-confined...
