Thanks horsehead, I don't golf or gamble at the casinos so I save my funds for hunting and fishing. Got my order placed with JP here are the build specs.

I've nailed down a rod choice. 6' 6" 3wt 3pc kabuto built by JP Ross. This will be my first custom so I'm really excited. Still narrowing down the details but it should be ready before the bream...

Back on topic I've been trying to find a fiberglass rod and the price ranges are all over the place. What is a good premium rod no china mass production stuff etc.

If I was a hardcore duck hunter I might lean towards those or labs. My partner with the Boykin also has a lab. Two versatile dogs is just about all I want to deal with.

Thanks, my dad hunted a elhew for years, I purchased a springer pup sight unseen out of auburn al, was suppose to be the hunting version of the breed but turned out he was more show breed stock....
