Also check out 11 Mile Canyon and the Dream Stream between Spinney and 11 Mile Reservoirs. Great winter fisheries.

Also vote for the Arkansas, pretty much anywhere along her, but specifically...

Re: Wristwatches What You Wear And Why

For the last ten years I have worn a stainless steel Wenger Swiss Army watch with a white face. Got it my freshman year of college and I don't think I have ever taken it off since.

Re: Help with winter fly selection

My winter box consists of some small, like 18-26 BWO and Parachute Adams dries, and then midges in every color combo you can think of. I also have some small RS2's and Flash Back Pheasant Tails. ...

Awesome pics. A local guide in Colorado named Taylor Edrington leads and annual trip down south to Lake Jurassic. I am saving my pennies and will hopefully have enough money in 2014 to head down. ...

Re: cleaning waders

I always rinse my waders off with a garden hose and then let them air dry. If you wash your waders in the washer be prepared to loose some of the good fishing juju that you have accumulated thus far...

Re: Your Favorite Rod, Cosmetically Speaking

My absolute hands down favorite is the Sage Z-Axis. Absolutely stunning rod.

My favorite custom rods are the Kabuto glass rods in their yellow/white color. Looks like one is fishing with a...

Re: The First Fly

My first fish on a fly was a size 16 Parachute Adams. The fish was a Rainbow Trout about as long as your pinkie. Caught in the 11 Mile Canyon section of the South Platte near Lake George, CO.

Re: Trout fishing with crawfish fly. Strike indicator?

I tie my crawdad pattern with some weight wrapped around the hook and either fish it as a streamer or dead drift it under a large indicator.

If fishing as a stream just imagine how the crawdads...

Re: Midge fishing

Midges are a winter staple on all my local tailwaters.

A couple pointers, tie them on small Tiemco 2488 or 2488H, the heavy version. I also use bead heads to get the fly down in the water...

Re: Should guiding on public waters end?

I don't think guiding on public water is the problem. The problem is lack of enforcement. Guide services pay to guide on public waters and have a certain amount of days to use on said waters. And...

I say yes they are invasive, but now they are as normal as a rainbow.

A hundred years ago they were invasive and destructive. They wiped out untold millions of fish, along with rainbows,...
