Re: Redington Predator or TFO's BVK?

I have a Redington Predator in a 6wt that I use for throwing streamers to trout. I absolutely love it. It tosses large flies with ease and having it only be 7'6" makes it easier to cast in tighter...

Re: Stoneflies

I find the Shimmer Stone works pretty well for imitating stonefly nymphs. It is tied by Rich Strolis of Catching Shadows. I know I have mentioned his name on here before but its because he has so...

Re: Favorite less expensive rods / reels?

I am a fan of Redington. I have a 6wt predator for streamer fishing and a 6'6 3wt pursuit for small stream. The predator is by far my favorite rod. It's awesome for throwing heavy flies.

Re: Is it Ethical to Clear Deadfalls Over Holes?

I am just curious what you think is BS? I will give you the fact that a kingfisher could still fish THAT spot but its a fact that woody debris is preferable habitat for trout.

Re: Is it Ethical to Clear Deadfalls Over Holes?

I would leave it. It is good trout habitat even if its not in the water. It provides cover from the overhead predators as well as providing shade. One of the biggest problems with our rivers today is...

I use one for my 6wt that I use for throwing streamers to trout in rivers. I like it because it makes me a lot more versatile while saving me $50. I havent used a true sink tip line so unfortunately...

Yeah I use the stuff all the time. Works great in the early and late season. I have mixed results in the summer when the water is low and fish are spooky
