Re: If you only had 3 hours of fishing at YNP?

Re: If you only had 3 hours of fishing at YNP?

Yes they are ha, this was the first time really fishing with a hopper so it's probably more my slow reaction times. Super fun though, I have never really fished anything on the surface and it was...

Re: If you only had 3 hours of fishing at YNP?

Well my trip is over and for the naysayers it can be done, I fished for only 1.5 (gasp) but had a lot of fun ;) I stopped into North Fork Anglers in Cody WY on our way into the park and got a lot of...

Re: Fly Shop Owners?

I must be lucky but I've had pretty good luck with all the shops I have been to here in Colorado. Some are nicer than others but as a beginner all have been helpful without just trying to pedal me...

Re: If you only had 3 hours of fishing at YNP?

Yeah man, it's really going to make navigating difficult for us, stinks but I won't let it ruin our trip.

Re: If you only had 3 hours of fishing at YNP?

Lots of good responses guys, thanks! I don't think I was clear enough in my first post, I get three hours of on water time, so if it takes 2 hours to drive/hike there I still get my 3ish hours :)...

In the 3 years that I have been living in Colorado I haven't found a river yet that doesn't have good campground access as well as good hiking near by. My advice is to do some google searches for...

Re: It's not your dads Buick.

I think if you're worried or bothered by a company trying to get the younger generation (younger than 30) to be into fly fishing you have too much time on your hands. Redington makes some great...

Re: Fly Fishing frustrations: Therapy not headache

I'm still pretty new to fly fishing so for me my biggest frustrations are reading the water, and since my only fishing buddy is my wife (which is cool but she is also a noob) so I don't have anyone...

My wife likes her pair, they fit her really well which is nice for a wader. They seem pretty nice to me, makes me wish my simms had a zipper front lol

Thanks, I'll probably give that shop a call before we leave. It looks the Crystal might be a no go this time which stinks.

We're planning on a leisurely drive back home on Monday, avoiding driving...

Re: "Core Fly Collection"?

As someone who is still relatively new to fly fishing, and lives in Colorado, I've had a lot of luck with brown/flesh colored San Juan worms.
