Got out today with a new fly pattern, ready to unstress after my AP test. First 3 cast I had a few nice swirls but all missed it, on the fourth cast my fly hits the water and I see a tail whip around...

http://i1299.photobucket.com/albums/ag64/FlyGuy9730/IMAG0290_zpscb58b317.jpg Plan on using it as a bass and snakehead fly. For the connection I used a short piece of 40lb Trilene Big Game. Then...

Re: Favorite food on the water

An Arizona ice tea along with water for the day but coffee in the morning is a good bet for me. Turkey sandwiches keep me fueled. My favorite fishing food is cold, leftover bratwurst.:p

What's the best fish you have ever caught? Fly rod or other tackle. My best fish, not the largest fish, was a 5.5 pound yellowtail snapper this past summer. It was a blast on light spinning tackle....

Re: Vises?

Yeah shotgunfly, it's not a cheap vise but an excellent fellow named Pete did me a huge favor and allowed me the chance to get one without the $111 shipping fee from South Africa.
