I use the Cutthroat Leaders. I have both nymph and dry fly leaders. Really like 'em. Great turnover, great sink on the nymphs. Great customer service. Really like the tippet rings.

Gardening supply shops sell a stretchy green (I think) vinyl for tying plants to stakes. It works well too. Plastic or rubber surgical gloves. Dang near any thin plastic especially in clear or earth...

Mine is 3/16" nylon rope with an old faucet washer (center hole enlarged) on the bottom. The rope ends are melted to stop fraying so a single overhand knot holds the rig on a "D" ring on my vest.
