Re: Sometimes I believe things are better done the old fashioned way...

Yeah, I'll have to try that sometime - even though I've been told for decades that my sense of humor is my strongest point, a point that's been toasted at weddings, at conventions, in state and...

Re: New Pope

Tough job for anyone, let alone someone his age (just ask Benedict). So many people put money ahead of all else, so many people insist on everyone else adhering to only their set of beliefs, so many...

Re: Sometimes I believe things are better done the old fashioned way...

I love the Abel nippers. I would guess (not ever having used it, so I'm guilty of the same offense as those who have not used Abel nippers but somehow are extremely knowledgeable about their quality...

Re: Sometimes I believe things are better done the old fashioned way...

Agreed about sometimes things are better done the old-fashioned way. But I'd hate to be having this conversation through the U.S. Mail.

If you're tallking about Zachary's Pizza, I'm not a fan. I like East Coast pizza, thinner crust.
What are the winters like in Bozeman? And what kind of airline connections do you...

Re: Help me out... Help me plan some destinations...

I tend to agree with Rockriver. But I guess it depends on you and what you want the trip to be about. I'm just remembering back to road trips where the road was too much of the trip and dictated...

Re: Southern Oregon

Still struggling with finding the right area to buy a small retirement cabin. Kids are just north of Sacramento, so I'm thinking Southern Oregon would be doable. Redding is too hot for my liking.

Re: Largest study of salmon health ever undertaken set to begin in B.C.

Well, I'm looking forward to learning the results of this study - could be very interesting. I hope we are deemed worthy of learning the results this time around.

Re: First time buy and fly fisher! With a ?

Great job!
What size tippet are you using? From the picture, it looks like you could be going a little lighter on the tippet material.
I'm telling you, positive attitude, positive energy, half the...

Re: Abel nippers: Are they worth it?

Could have been one page, in my opinion. For some people, not worth it, you are better off spending your money on other things or saving your money. For some people, they love them and point out...

Re: Guides going to....

On second thought, I'm still mad at Bozeman TU. I think I'll go to the Oregon guides meeting. They loved my presentation - and they have great beer in Oregon. Fred's up there, I know, but you...

Re: Guides going to....

I can't. I'm mad at Bozeman right now. Got rejected by the Madison-Gallatin Chapter of TU in Bozeman as a speaker because they had someone speak about Alaska a while back. But I suppose I'm just...

Re: Fishing Hat

JCW, my last surgery was what is called Mohs surgery, and it was on the nose and not fun. They had to take a donor graft from my forehead to fill in the hole. Had the same type surgery on my ear -...

Re: Fishing Hat
