I was able to fish the Big Thompson above Estes on the 4th of July last year at similar (current) snowpack, but if I were you for that date this year, I wouldn't count on fishing any non-tailwaters...

I drove the canyon (hwy 14) from Walden to FoCo last Friday. Its crazy how great the fall colors are on the west side of the divide compared to the east side where there is a fungus that's dampening...

Sheep Creek Fire (Tounge River Canyon) now at 1100 acres

This is certainly disappointing. Unknown but human caused. Started out as a 1/2 acre fire on Sunday but they have no way to fight it. I do see a little rain on the radar right now but I don't know...
