So i have a Scott Radian 6wt ( non-fighting butt model) and it has a nice disc drag reel on it. The rod is mainly used as a small-medium streamer rod and also as a smallmouth rod...All wade fishing....

For the Cahaba...a 6wt will do everything you need. I live in North Alabama but have fished the Cahaba. My go-to is a fast 6wt( scott radian) or glass 7wt( blue halo) for most of my river/creek...

FS TFO Mangrove 6wt

I have a 6wt Mangrove that will just be collecting dust now that i have a 6wt Radian. The Mangrove is "like new"...only had it for 3-4months and used it a handful of times.

UPDATE-

The 6wt Radian LOVES the rio streamertip (intermediate version) and does great on big streamers and PIGS!!

well.....i guess i'll try my 6wt OBS and my 6wt intermediate Streamertip lines. i talked to the boys at Schultz Outfitters today. they are warmwater guys too and they said they all fish and own...

Very true.....but there's one twist, a close friend is also selling a very slightly used (as in 3 outings) for $150...9' model with fighting butt. So many rods so little cash!
