Re: Pinky's Revenge

Re: Scientific Anglers System 4

You are correct, they are better looking CLA reels...

I use them for guiding and they have been beaten to death, never had a single issue...

GREAT reels.

Re: skiget line vs switch line?

Regarding your specific question... The above link shared by ia_trouter is good, but doesn't cover all the bases as not all switch lines are the same...

Most switch lines are a multi purpose...

Re: PVC vs Polyurethane

Thanks for the kind wishes, honestly, whatever chest bug I got, wow, it was awful...

In my honest opinion, like most things in life, one mans trash is another mans treasure and I am a firm...

Re: Line for streamers

I would email the guys at Fly Fish Europe and ask them, Tom Roger Bekkeli is from Norway, a Trout fishing guru and would likely be your best bet for getting the line that suits your waters best...

Re: PVC vs Polyurethane

Rough life, must be tough with such serious and difficult decisions to make! LOL

Re: PVC vs Polyurethane

I am not going to speak for anyone, but I believe there was a decision made to no longer sponsor "big names" like Kelly... etc.... any longer in the manner they did in the past. That may or may not...

Re: PVC vs Polyurethane

When you see the term poly, it is in reference to polyurethane...

I believe PTE is a typo and should be PE, which is what Cortland has used as a term to market their specific type of poly blend....

Re: PVC vs Polyurethane

Possible, those ridges are almost mandatory though for good poly lines and others may be using them now too if they aren't trademarked or whatever, they help them achieve some level of limpness,...

Re: PVC vs Polyurethane

I would venture to guess, most fly lines are worn out prior to 10,000 revolutions in real World use, regardless of material used...

Poly by the book is certainly more durable, but...

No matter...

Re: PVC vs Polyurethane

PVC offers the capability to make more diverse tapers and faster changes to taper with more control than you can with poly....

You can effectively make a better taper with PVC with the exception...
