I use a double Surgeon's knot. Works fine for me, easy to tie.

Opening that Herter's box was better than a birthday sometimes. Stuff for me, stuff for my Dad. I still have my first vise from Herter's, and some of the tying materials as well.

It's not about instant gratification, it's about competing in the on-line marketplace. When your competitors outperform you they're going to take market share, and deservedly so.

I've used a couple of those with really nice catalogs, the problem is that they take so long to ship. Shipping an order on the third or fourth day after receiving the order is just not acceptable....

Uh huh.... This morning - bringing in more wood for the woodstove - I keep a lot in the garage- while my wife raked snow off the roof. And shoveling an area for the dogs, and filling the feeders......
