Scott G2 8'8" 3wt , excellent shape, has one cosmetic nick near the handle in the clear coating other than that its like new. $325
Galvan Rush R3 with fishpond case, has Rio trout lt 3wt wf line....

All the boxes are waterproof. The fly tying book is new and retails for $30. Fishpond case that holds 4 reels as well as 2 other reel cases. Lanyard with tools and small box on it. For everything $55...

Yeah, I have an R3 on my 3 wt. I like these reels better than anything I have used. Take a look at Scott rods, made in montrose Colorado. Very nice rods.

I wanted the atom stealth but ended up getting the orvis instead, the orvis is nice but after looking at the atom stealth I wish I had gotten it instead.

Have you considered the Scott A4 series rods. They are fairly light and have a med-fast action.

Personally I use the rod size for the size fish I fish for, as well as the size and type of flies to use. For native brook trout here in Va an 1-3 wt rod is perfect. The fish hardly ever reach...

I know in conventional tackle uv is a big thing on deep running crank baits but I never really gave it much thought in fly fishing. Guess it may work ok on subsurface presentations.

Have you thought about mailing everything down before you go. If you have somewhere to mail a package. Then when you get there it's ready for you, no worries with the airlines.
