Re: Winston 8'3" 4wt

Sorry. I am trying to decide between an LT 8'3" 4wt and an BIIX 8'6" 4wt. Intent is for single rod for trout in mid to small streams in Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Cortland Sylk

I have an Orvis Penn's Creek Bamboo rod 7' 4wt rod. As I understand things these lines are a bit denser than others. Would a DT3 or DT4 perform better?
Appreciate your thoughts. Dave

Has any body had any experience with this rod. If so how does it compare to the Winston IM6 or BIIX in a 5 weight?

Thanks I am casting between 40 and 80 feet usually. Sounds like this may be my new rod if I can twist the bosses arm!
