Re: Newbie (good flies to use)

Hi Lewis, I use Peck's #1 Popping Minnows for largemouth bass and have caught literally thousands of bass on them over the years. In the past 1 1/2 years while fishing on Lake Fork I've caught a 9#...

Re: Always Nice to Find a New FF Forum

You'll need to drink a lot of beer to ease the pain during the LSU-ASU game. :-)

I'm actually an ASU fan most of the time. I lived in Tempe in 1986 and became a fan while I was there. Geaux Sun...

Where is your favorite place to fish?

My favorite trout stream is the White River in Arkansas. The things that I love the most about the White are the diversity of areas to fish: calm water, riffles, runs, deep holes, drop-offs, rushing...

Re: Fly Fishing for Bream - By Cliff Hilbert

I went to Van City Lake near Tyler yesterday and was fly fishing with some Cap spiders and the first fish I caught was a 10' - .81# redear sunfish on some beds down near the dam. I didn't catch...

Re: What's Out There to Fly Fish For? - By Dave Whitlock

Great article Davy! As you know most of my fly fishing is warmwater and freshwater here in East Texas. Like Davy said there are numerous species to fish for and you never know what you might catch....

Re: Polarized Sunglass Problems

Buy a pair of the Flip Focal Lenses which are available at most of the fly fishing shops for about $15-20. Steve probably has them at his mail order shop, The Full Creel. They clip onto the bill of...

Re: Pawn Hoppers?

Steve you have the early signs of real redneck with that type of behavior. If you leave two or three abandoned cars in your front yard that you can't find until the grass dies in the winter, then...

Re: Pawn Hoppers?

Re: Bream Fly Fishing - By Cliff Hilbert

Nope I haven't been bream fishing yet this year. The bream usually stay deep until the latter part of April or early May. That's not to say that none of them are shallow right now because I caught...
