thanks, I did have a good time. I grew up in that area and now live in a totally different world(we split our time between San Carlos, Sonora and Tucson) so it's good to come and walk the woods...

Well, it was pretty blown out-still high and lots of stuff in the river-trees and so on as well as tons of kayakers so I moved on to brooks I knew with my new Lami 3wgt build and had success there. ...

Well, I'm heading back east tomorrow for a couple days of work, then fishing the Deerfield and surrounding areas in Mass for a couple days. when I lived there I fished 4-5 days a week before work...

what is far far better is type 3 anodizing , or hardcoat. this is sapphire hard and is from .001 to .003" thick. you can quick field test with a knife-it will cut type 1 and 2 easily and just slide...

Jeez-it is backwards. But anyway, the Deerfield from Charlemont up is very good. it is a tailwater so you need to be aware of releases. The Cold that feeds into the Deerfield has native brookies. ...

of course they are. they are just slower casting, heavier, and much, much prettier. I've use a 2 wgt for years on small streams in the East, never used a 00 but I've not broken the 2.
