Re: Auto repairs .... What the heck?

Ahhhh, you ask the wrong question, grousehunter.

It is not when, but why.

End Kung Fu flashback.

Re: Deckers 08/25/2015

Indeed, a good time was had by all, especially 'Cede.

In terms of fish counts, Kyle gave me a thorough SPANKIN'! He's got a lovely touch with euro nymphing. The pic doesn't do the fish justice,...

Re: Back brace

Funny thing- the real driver of all this was Wal-Mart. After several years of requiring their employees to wear those things at all times, WallyWorld found back injuries increased. Notice who wears...

Re: What is a great fishing trip?????

I cast with my right hand, and if the fight is long enough, change over and fight with my left. A great trip is when both arms are worn out.

I live in Colorado, so everyone thinks I fish out of...

Re: Ever just sit up in bed with a song going through your head?

I once heard this phenomenon called an earwig. Apt name, IMO.

My Dad had the album (yup, vinyl) from that movie. Fell asleep many a night to Lee Marvin droning out "Wandering Star".. :) Funny...

Re: Back brace

Wore. As in past tense. 15 or 20 years ago, those things were better than sliced bread. Nowadays, you don't hardly see them at all. It was found that the support and control muscles would atrophy...

Re: Hardy Zenith Fly Rod

Indeed, cast one. If you can, fish with one before you throw down serious money.

I've had a Zenith 905 for just over a year, and I'm still kinda mixed about it.

An excellent piece of kit, for...

Re: Waders vs. Shorts

If you fish in a kilt, you must swing a spey rod. Wouldn't be right otherwise. [poke]

A Tam-O-Shanter would be considered overkill, however. [poke][poke]

Me? It depends more on air temp. Early...

Re: Do I have a 'Mouse in the House???'

Ever heard of the tenacity of Jack Russell terriers? The folks watch 'lil dawg while I'm at work. She caught and dispatched a rodent one day, and was suitably (richly) rewarded, of course. For the...

Re: Radian, what line works best for you ???

Hope the OP doesn't mind, I'll throw in my observations with my 9'8wt Radian.

So far, Rio Gold loads up OK in close, then "goes flat" at 40-50 ft. It seems to like the mainstream Trout better.

I cured the "too much stuff in the vest" thing- by switching to a backpack! :army:

Seriously, it is...

Re: Help with 4 wt rod

OP, I was in your shoes a few years ago. I got a BVK in 8' 3wt. I fish small creeks with brush, mostly dry flies with it, and like it. I've even taken it on bigger streams and cast...
