Re: What is the worst fly fishing commercial or movie scene?

Re: San Juan river, leaders, 7wt rod

-OR-

You could use the trip to buy a 5wt.:D Better split from...

Re: Hardy Zenith 6 wt. and weighted flies

My 905-4 "chucks lead" like nobody's bidness; I forget whether I have Rio Gold or Trout. (I think Trout). Just find a line the rod likes, then tie on whatever, part of the beauty of these babies.

Re: Scott Radian

'Tis a Diamondback Aeroflex 9'5wt.3pc. (905-3). Still goes with me every trip. A birthday present I got for a friend, a St. Croix Imperial 905-4 got me to thinking I needed to look at rods again....

Re: Rough going in the Popo Agie - Wind River Range

Somehow missed this "back then" as well. A good TR w/pics, always enjoy these.

Bought a switch rod earlier this year, and after reading posts like this, I want a backpack setup, too. this forum...

Good stuff, more dog stories from Fred! I just can't picture you without a dog nearby.

What I wanna know is: why were you looking for turkeys in CraigsList?

Re: New Echo Classic Spey rod owner, time to pick a line.

I have the Scandit style line for my Rugged Creek. Unlike Blackbugger, I've found Skagit easiest to pick up. Yes, I'm a nOOb, much like you. Everything I've learned, I've got off the internet, here...

Re: Two of the same rod ?

No, I don't, but don't let that stop you.

The reason I've seen so far is to have the rod you love forever. Fine. I'll offer up another: Now your backup is the exact same as your primary. Could...

Re: A question for the fun of it ?

For the record, I'm with S&S and the others who won't give up, at least not easily. But, in the interest of good humour,

Ah, yes, the "one rod" argument. The gun mags would pick a "1,2, or 3 gun"...

I tried all sorts of vests/packs, all of them are flawed in some way. Ended up tossing everything into a Camelbak. Comfy, not too expensive, and I have a thing about dehydration. Whatever you need...

Re: Favorite emerger patterns

I'll jump on the Barr emerger band wagon- I love John Barr's patterns. Tie it in black, and you have a Trico emerger. There are RS2's in my box at all times as well.

I don't like to get too fancy...
