Re: FS: Sage One 9' 5 wt

Bump to lower my asking price to $500.00, or $525.00 for rod and Rio Gold fly line. Decided I am going to keep my Galvan reel.

FS: Sage One 9' 5 wt

Selling my 1 year old Sage One 9' 5wt. Had it professionally built exactly 1 year ago, and although it's a fantastic rod, it's a little too fast for my liking. Fished the rod probably 20 times, and...

Re: Simms Rivertek 2 Boa boot????

I have a pair of Simms G4 Boa's and G4 waders that I bought last winter, and both are still in their boxes. Reason being is I found the G4's on "that big auction site" new and still I the box for...

Re: Can't afford a Sage . . recommendations?

Cabelas "L" series rods are right around that range and aren't too bad of a rod. I would suggest going to your local shop, cast a few to figure out what action/length and feel your looking for and...

Re: Ross or Galvan?

Like everyone said, you wouldn't go wrong with wither option. I've personally grown fancy Galvan, but mostly because I've used them for so long and never had one go bad on me. I fish between 80-100...

Re: Sage Click or Galvan Brookie?

I can't speak bad of the Sage, because I've never owned one, but I have owned several Galvan reels over the past 20 years, and have never had one to fail me.

Re: Simms Rivertek boots shrink or stretch?

Thanks for the replies. Think I'm going to return them for the next size smaller as they had a little better overall fit, and even when I winter fish, regular socks under my Simms G4 waders is all I...

Simms Rivertek boots shrink or stretch?

Just picked up a new pair of Simms Rivertek boots this morning, and was wanting to know if anyone has any experience with these? Main concern is I know shoes in general tend to stretch somewhat...

Re: Rio Gold coiling??

Thanks for the replies and sorry for the delay in responding, but I've been fishing.
I wondered if it could be due to the fact I've got it spooled on a Galvan Torque 4, which is a pretty small arbor...

Rio Gold coiling??

Has anyone else had problems with your Rio Gold line coiling real bad? It seems to straighten out after 10-15 minutes of fishing, but I've never had a line coil quite like this before.

Re: So I found some old fly gear in the attic...

Take it into any local fly shop and have them value everything for you. It's difficult to value something based on a few pictures, but your local shop pro should be able to help you out. They may...

So sorry to hear about your run of bad luck fishtooth. This economy is sure in the crapper and doesn't look to be getting any better. God speed to get your health and job situation back in order.

Shimloom,

It's a Torque 4 and balances about a 1/2' behind the that first dark ring nearest to the hook keeper. Same place my Galvan OB1 balances my BIIx which is where I'm use to.
