I'm not sure there is any other advantage other than the sink rate. But I do fish BH almost exclusively. I am just to impatient for the non BH bugger to sink.

Green Sunfish on top. It was a hoot. It was on a mountian stream here in AZ, that I thought had no fish. I was using a dragonfly. I was 18 years young. Did not get me hooked on fly fishing...
