Re: GRXi+ vs Classic Trout

Sure it will, but the weight screws up the perfection. The 5wt does it just fine, the 3 and 4 not so much. You definitely have to make a timing adjustment to compensate for the extra rod bend. ...

Re: GRXi+ vs Classic Trout

OK, I absolutely love the classic trout. It is probably my favorite rod of all time. My CT worship is well documented throughout this forum. I own 3 of them. 3wt 7'6", 4wt 8', 5wt 8'6".

I am a...

Re: Rod for Bass and some coast fishing (reds, tarpon, etc.)

I live in redfish country and 8 wt seems to be everyone's go to weight for reds, including mine. I don't fish bass but I would think an 8 would be fine for that as well from what I have seen. ...

Re: Hardy uniqua rod

I actually own a 10 wt Uniqua. It is a fantastic rod. My good fishing buddy has a 4wt 8' Uniqua as his main trout rod which I liked so much it convinced me to take an Internet chance on the 10 wt I...

Re: Redington CT 4wt 9ft?

I have a CT in 3wt 7'6", 4wt 8', 5wt 8'6"

They are my go to rods for those weights. I can't imagine any CT not being awesome but I have never touched one that wasn't one of the 3 I own.

Re: Best Low End 9'5wt

I have the CT in a 3wt 7'6", 4wt 8' and a 5wt 8'6" and they are all my go to rods for those weights even though I have more expensive rods in the same weight.

Re: Best Low End 9'5wt

I would say the Redington Classic Trout is IMHO the best rod for $300. If you told me you would buy me any rod up to $300 I would still want a Redington Classic Trout. There isn't a rod I like...

Re: Floatants.....

I have Aquel in my bag right now. I have used Gink in the past. I'll use whatever. I am not particularly brand loyal when it comes to floatant. I get whatever the shop has when I need some.

Re: Are the Redington CT's on sale anywheres right now ?

Wow!

Anyone that hasn't jumped on this yet is crazy.

Getting one of the best rods out there for well under 100 bucks is way too good to pass up.

Re: Only One

I fish trout and salt so one rod wouldn't cut it for both.

If forced to choose I would give up salt and just keep my favorite trout rod which is my 8' 4wt Redington Classic Trout.

Re: TU or FFF or both or Neither?

OK, so you can go off road but not anyone else? You said you go off road and in the very next sentence you say motor vehicles belong only on roads. Hypocrite much?

Re: TU or FFF or both or Neither?

Understood. In this context it seems more appropriate to me because when you make a donation to an organization it is important to know what EXACTLY you are supporting.

Re: TU or FFF or both or Neither?

Personal donations come from people and people make up an organization. Those numbers if true, and I personally find them very easy to believe, are extremely telling.

I would get a 2 or 3 wt Redington Classic Trout from Cabelas for 75 bucks. They are starting to run out so snatch them up. They have a smaller selection than they had when the sale was started.
