Re: DIY Neoprene Reel Cover

Neoprene? Heck, that's upscale. The pockets on the side of my double rod caddy have a couple of extra spools/lines for the rods in the caddy. The caddy pockets aren't padded, but the spools...

A long layoff through the winter, a 90's era St Croix $90 8wt, fished most of the day with only smoke and water breaks. That night I got pain...

Re: Woof! This is going to cost a heck of a lot of money!

Re: Lead instead of bead?

Historical perspective: Early tiers used lead fuse wire. Sometimes pounded flat.

I used to build really large, heavy buggers by tying a thread base, gluing, wrapping lead, wrapping with thread,...

Re: Fly fishing back pack

A few months ago I had to do some sewing on my vest. I decided that I'd photograph everything in the vest while I had it empty. Lucky for you all-you missed that boring post. There was just too much...

Re: Crayfish patterns for trout?

The biggest brown trout I've seen come out of the river here in town was taken on a crayfish pattern, predawn, in late winter. Easily 24". The angler's gloves were coated in ice. (Above the bridge at...

Re: Spey casting and great web site.

Some great video. I've been looking for a site to show folks just how long a cast you can make with the spey rod. It's hard to explain (or imagine) without pictures.
