Beautiful fish John!! The carp have just started cruising around me and plan on chasing them quite a bit this summer. I can't wait to see more of the carp you bring in.

Re: Winter Smallmouth

I have been under the impression from different articles I have read. In rivers after it rains the fishing is usually better. This is because the rain sweeps more forage into the river and makes some...

43* water today. I was fishing a crayfish pattern bouncing along the bottom. This was in a deeper section (4') of the river today. Plenty of fight even with the colder water.

This guy felt like a ton of bricks on the line. He definitely did not want to come out of his hole. I'm just glad I remembered I was using 5lb tippet for a change.

Re: Moving from Chicago to Houston, Help!!!!

I prefer the Bead Head Clousers as well. Unfortunately when I try a few of my favorite spots I need the extra weight. I need to try lining up to a 9wt I think.
