Just did a few weeks ago. I had only knee high rubber boots on a, little water got in and I wanted that fly so bad. I thought what the heck and filled them to the brim. Cold walk back to the truck.

I know guys that never wash there fly gear and think it's neat to have dirty and grungy waders. There rod reel set up looks years old when it's days.
