I had an NV-8, but I had a drag issues with it. They "eventually" took it back and I got an Abel instead. I don't know anything about the other two reels your asking about.

I use an Abel Super 6n. You can get these for in or around 400 on ebay. Sometimes less. These reels have an incredible drag and are easy to maintain. They're very popular bonefish reels.

I'll never learn, I tell you. I nearly was swept away again this weekend. It's the second time in as many weeks the water came in over my waders and struggling to keep my footing.

I feel in general I'm a good caster. It's not a timing thing and it doesn't happen when I haul. It tends to happen when I suddenly change direction. For instance... I am casting to a fish taking...
