Good choices all..Jefferson makes a very nice rye as well as a bourbon. Everyday drink is Wild Turkey. Basil Hayden another fave along with Woodford Reserve.

I fish a 7'11" original superfine, 4 wt. Very nice rod, well finished. VERY slow rod, so be prepared to slow it down! Fishes nicely with a Cortland Sylk 4 wt. line.

We've found that the following system turns the leader over much more smoothly, no hinging and one leader could last all year.

Cut off any loops and nail knot a piece of 20-25 lb. stiff mono...

RI bans felt in fresh and SALTWATER!

As of 1/1/2012, RIDEM's regulations prohibit felt soled wading shoes in both fresh and SALTWATER. Amazingly this new regulation somehow appeared without the slightest advance notice and little public...

Nail knot on a 2 to 2.5 foot section of 25 pound stiff mono--Maxima for one-to your fly line...creating a "butt" section...blood knot your leader to the butt
section and you only need tie a nail...
