I came in under the closeout pricing anyhow if I add the components I just bought to the $299 lowest blank price on a One...

Re: Aspen Reels?

I sold my two Hardy DD reels after getting an Aspen, and then just sold my two Galvans over the last few months. That leaves me only with Aspens and they would be my first choice in reels. I can tell...

Re: Will Sage One Blanks Go On Sale

Re: Sage Blank Warranty Process?

To update:
I never did receive a return phone call, and gave them a ring this past Tuesday. I was mainly wanting to know what I would be getting back in the event that I needed to get cork, a reel...

Re: Best place to buy rods online

I've posted this around a half dozen times in threads where folks are languishing over this rod or that rod, followed by "I don't have any shops near by" or "the parking lot isn't the same as fishing...

Re: Sage Blank Warranty Process?

They haven't called back yet. Their voicemail recording said not to send in the sock or tube, so I shipped all four pieces out yesterday without them. In the notes I asked for the piece back so that...

Re: Brodin Pisces...Finally

Chris Brodin emailed me back this morning saying that their was not enough interest in the Eco Clear net bags to go through the cost of developing a large sized bag. So this will have their old style...

Re: Sage Blank Warranty Process?

Got it. I will call them on Monday. I know they have the caveat in their warranty that blanks aren't covered during construction, and don't want to have any sort of hassle with removing the guides...

Re: Sage Blank Warranty Process?

OK, thanks. I registered it when I bought it a year ago, and did the custom built part, as well as made up my own serial number that is written on the butt (#1-15). I have already done the repair...

Sage Blank Warranty Process?

Did a little boulder jousting walking into Cheesman yesterday and broke the tip of my ESN I built from a blank. I still fished it using the next guide down as the tip top, but am curious if anyone...

Re: Question about replaceable jaws abel nippers

Buy the Simms model then. That design is a blade against an anvil, and does not require two blades to meet point at point.
Or if you are handy enough to loosen two screws, and grouchy enough about...

Re: Fighting Butt or Not on 9' 6wt?

Bingo, gives your reel extra space between the ground. Who wants to add to the chances they ding up the pretty reel they spent weeks languishing over which color to buy? You also get the added...

Re: Fighting Butt or Not on 9' 6wt?

I have them on my 3wts, I wouldn't build a rod without one. Many more uses than when a fish is on.
