I agree and second the #6wt. It's a nice versatile weight that you can throw on lakes and transition to rivers with no problems.

If you are staying on the Big Thompson make sure you are in Estes or above and not in the lower canyon. The lower canyon got hit hard by last falls floods and some of the cabins there are back to...

Have an '05 Element. The car is great for all sorts of outdoor activities. Always have the back loaded up and ready to go hit the stream at a moments notice.

Some great points here. The traffic in the metro area is nightmarish especially on a Friday night. I think clear creek is a good bet and probably the easiest to get to.
