Re: Missoula and Glacier area

Review you flight details on baggage

Re: Flathead River Montanna

I've read up on these rivers but I'm probably not
going to make a first trip without a guide. It's a long

but you can also do a fly into the...

Re: Backcountry Lamar River Valley

Bear issues have kept me from wondering too deep
but I can tell you Tower, below the gift shop is some pretty nice

Last year the trail...

Re: New Mexico license question

Once you create an online profile and password
buying on line was pretty seamless. Cost for us
out of stater anglers wasn't bad either.

Habitat stamp wasn't required for upper 3 on the
San...

Re: If you're planning for the Juan May/June, read this

Everything I've read about the San Juan River on this forum has proven true.
YES flows are high so you only have a few place to access. I'd say - save your
pennies and hire a guide or come with...

Re: Fishing on the Bear Tooth Highway?

Whoops, sounds like you could benefit from a stop in at Stillwater Anglers in Columbus. Chris can steer you in the right direction. East Rosebud Fly & Tackle in Billings. The Billings Gazette fishing...

Re: Fishing on the Bear Tooth Highway?

TV news showed a picture of snow on the Wyoming side looking down the switchbacks towards Long Lake & Little Bear lakes. Not a lot mind you but sort of normal for that side of the hill. Beartooth...

Re: Fishing on the Beartooth Highway?

Let's call it the Beartooth Highway, which opens this week.
You're probably going to find more grayling on the Wyoming side
and a hike is probably in your future. As soon as you head up the ...

Big Horn Flows to Increase

BuRec holds water as long as possible so folks can launch motor boats

Re: If you're planning for the Juan May/June, read this

Just happen to be the best time
to go for us. We do the side channel
thing on the Horn when levels get
out of hand. And we know the
structure from walking them as...

Re: If you're planning for the Juan May/June, read this

Looks like we're going early June.
So what's the difference between say the
Big Horn at 12,000 CFS and a high flow
San Juan at 5,000 during their flush.

Sorry never been there before. ...

Re: Bighorn River Montana Pointers?

Big Horn flows were slated for a bump
to 2500 CFS Thursday. It's the preferred
minimum for fish habitat.

We've always had luck with the standard

Re: fishing this week

For Montana your best guidance this week could be
from the weatherman. I'm not one to let weather
stop me so that's why they don't let me drive an RV.
