What are the worm bodies made from? One kind of looks like paracord. You do well with these? They look like something the bass here would like.

If we are talking about modern reels only, I like the Allen, and the Okuma Integrity. I have 2 older model Allen reels. I have not tried the ATS, I think that one is the only one in your budget. ...

It does sound like an early model. I wish I had pics of it too. I only use RHW so that would of been a real treat. :-) I cast left handed, and reel in right handed. :)

The Allen ATS is a very fine looking reel. I don't know what the inside is like, but the outside looks mighty fine to me.

Charged, that is a great collection you have there. I have a bunch of blue collar reels too. I don't know what it is, but I just love them. The real test is to clean them, add line, and fish them....

Joni is right about the fly lines. I might add I NEVER buy them at full price. I always buy them on SALE. I never figured out how in the world fly line dealers sell lines for that much. I refuse...

I like that Rio Trout LT a lot. I have the Gold line too. But I think I prefer the Trout LT. I am a big fan of Rio fly lines.

Is it the same thickness as tyer's tape? I have heard this a long time ago, and forgot about it. Back when it was talked about, I did not use lead tape. I do use it occasionally, but certainly not...
