Emailed Scott and they said it sounds like the glue caps fell out over the years. Send it in and for $45 shipping cost , they will install new caps. I saw a rod building site and they used cork plugs...

I have a Scott SAS 14ft 9WT 3piece Spey Rod and the male end of the first and second section are not pluged. Is this the way it is suppose to be? or should they be pluged? Thanks.

Tip angle

Rod Tip angle is very important, I have had to very carefully bend mine down, It was to flat causing friction on casting and retreving. (VERY CAREFULLY) Makes a differance.

No, I just hook the fly in a log or something and pull out what line I am going to use and pull on it for awhile then let the tension off slow, some times it works sometimes it don,t.

My opinion on the way they roll on fly lines on spools (tip first) is wrong. They should put the running line on first and then end with the tip, this way your taper and tip should be streight and...
