Almost daily. Tie a few then take a nap with my dogs.
This week tied a doz #14 olive wooley buggers for my bud in No. Cal who said shops always sold out.

Years ago the Patient Angler Fly Shop in Bend had printed complementary maps of public access points for most rivers around Bend. Well stocked fly materials if you tie your own.

Wow; ironic. While I was reading this the NWS issued a flash flood warning for the San Gabriel Mtns east of Los Angeles. Need more than a few thunderstorms can drop, but will take any and all H2O.

I've fished from both approx.4 yrs ago. From my weak memory both were good. The biggest differences were the Fat Cat you were sitting above the water with storage behind the seat.

All I use are the Rite and Tiemco bobbins. It takes some time to change a spool on a Rite so they are loaded with common color/sz (black 6/0; 8/0). I've got a half hitch but never use that feature so...

We tied that pattern a bunch at our club tying nights. One of our guys fished it almost always on the west slope of the Sierra's CA. The brighter green the wing case seemed more effective.

The tough good hair to find is for Comparaduns. Probably best to have someone in a fly shop pick it for you.
