If you want to get an 11' that would be a stitch rod which are very stiff .. A 5wt switch is equalling a 7-8 wt traditional line .. A Scandinavian line is good for big streamers or large indicator...

I have a st-croix switch and it definitely is a fast rod !!! It's like using a broom stick !! You can use traditional lines but you need to go up 2-3 wts !! 7wt u need 9-10 pending on how you like to...
