Re: The Slow Demise of "Honor..."

As a fellow curmudgeon, I think it started when we stopped holding our children accountable for their actions. I remember growing up knowing that if my behavior at school wasn't up to standards,...

Re: cameras for fishing trips

I have also been happy with the fujifilm XP. It makes it easier to take more shots when you don't have to dig your camera out of a waterproof bag every time.

Re: Wading Staff Care and Maintenance

My Folstaff came with a piece of paraffin wax to lube the joints. It has never locked up or collapsed on me. It stays on my belt and ready when I need it. If (when) I used the one piece models, they...

Re: AK beginner

This is a great time for pinks. You can go south to bird Creek, hope or the lower kenai. North, any of the streams on the parks should be good also. Let me know if you need more information.

Re: Beautiful Maine

Sounds like a nice trip! I love that area, and the night sky is probably the biggest thing I miss about Maine in the summer.

Re: Bigger & Better... "The Fly Box 90!"

Jerry,

Sorry to hear about Emily yesterday.

I received 2 flyboxes yesterday as well. I will certainly be thinking of her every time we open the boxes.

Re: Places that are world known... but lame?

Ard,

They keep everyone away from the rivers that I like to fish!

Re: Casting flies on a spinning rod. Help please.

You can use casting bubbles. They look like clear bobbers you fill with water until they cast properly. As a disclaimer, I researched this for my dad to use, but never actually tried them.

Re: Bigger & Better... "The Fly Box 90!"

My son was really happy with one of your dries that fooled a really nice grayling this weekend! He doesn't know yet that one of the new boxes will go to him.

I have a pop-up truck camper, and we use it as a portable fish camp all the time. I would highly recommend one!

I don't think the OP overreacted at all. If the dog is jumping up on someone, then it tells me the dog owner was too lazy to train their dog. If a dog owner can't be bothered to properly train their...

Re: Old Orvis "Seven-Eleven" 4wt Full Flex: What have I got?

Shipping the rod outside would be to expensive fly guy. Fortunately, I live close enough to help him out! Weavrm, sounds like a nice rod for a trip up to the Denali Highway this summer.
